PERSONALITY
A handful of responses will probably surface if you ask others about Kevah kom Trikru, and your answers will predominantly be negative.
Should you receive the answer "She's weird" then the person questioned has probably just met her. Stemming from both a history of unwillingness to socialize and just a naturally odd way of thinking, Kevah doesn't have much experience dealing with people in a 'normal' fashion. She's unaware of how to portray herself, especially if she's fond of someone, and often finds herself cracking a joke at the worst possible moment or scaring them off with her sudden, jerky movements. But really, buried beneath layers of excessive eye contact and spontaneous bursts of laughter, Kev really is a sweetheart. If she's not trying to kill you, of course.
If the answer's "She's a little bit insane" then they're most likely not on Kevah's good side. You see, the Grounder is very choosy when it comes to who she likes, and she gouges whether or not she does during a first encounter or by the rumors spread about the person in question. If, hypothetically, Kevah doesn't like someone, she'll make it known. Lacking a filter when she speaks, the girl will most definitely express herself by shooting around a few insults and jabs. In addition, if she really really doesn't like someone, they can expect a few death threats or, worst case, an actual murder attempt.
Perhaps a reply will also manifest itself in the form of "Kevah's protective, I'll give her that". As much as Kev dislikes talking and socializing in general, she adores company. If she really gets to know someone she'll open up without a hitch, and, since she loves honesty and values loyalty beyond all else (which is ironic, because Kevah doesn't like rules very much and won't hesitate to betray her own Clan if it suits her) and it's likely that she'll develop a fiery protective urge for said person no matter their view on the matter.
And, lastly, there's just "She's not the sharpest knife around". It's true. As much of a good fighter as she is, Kevah's never been the best tactician. She would much rather let someone take control of the situation and pose as a warrior and not a leader. Furthermore the girl is easily-impressed by people she likes, and easily-manipulated by them granted by her profound sense of loyalty and blind trust. Kevah also functions upon impulse and makes decisions with her heart rather than her head unless she's in a life-or-death situation. She works very well under pressure... but not so much in normal situations.
SKILLS
COMBAT
The girl's best asset as a warrior is her years of training in both hand-to-hand combat and combat with a weapon (over the years Kevah has developed an affinity for daggers since she dislikes anything that will unbalance or weigh her down). But training alone isn't what makes her such a useful tool. With a strong disregard for rules and the like, Kevah is not beyond fighting dirty or cheating her way to victory by using blackmail or anything else at her disposal.
STEALTH
Stealth is a wonderful skill for any thief. Unfortunately for this particular Grounder, she's far too impatient to steal without killing her victim beforehand. She does, surprisingly, make for a wonderful scout though.
DISGUISE
Given her androgynous appearance, Kevah is naturally able to blend into crowds using whatever disguise she sees fit: male or female. While in battle the Grounder tends to stick to a more feminine appearance as an attempt to trick others into underestimating her, but should she be in unfamiliar or enemy territory for whatever reason, Kevah will most likely be spotted dressed as a man.
PROTECTING
As aforementioned, the girl is frighteningly loyal to those she grows fond of. And once Kevah befriends someone, they're stuck with her whether they like it or not. She will give up her life to save her friends, or those pretending to be.
TEACHING
One of the skills she uses the least, Kevah still enjoys teaching and is fairly good at it. There are many subjects that she is uneducated in since she hates learning herself and is only comfortable sticking to what she knows, but spreading her own knowledge is satisfying for her.
HISTORY
Kevah had a pretty conventional childhood. She was taught how to fight and how to speak English. In the beginning Kev was reluctant to learn it because it took time away from her combat lessons. Eventually though she came around, and even if she tried her best to pay attention, she was never very interested in learning a second tongue. As a result, the Grounder understands English better than she can speak it.
As a child the girl was incredibly shy. She didn't want to talk to the other kids and she didn't want to play with them, either. So she found herself spending a lot of time with her elder brother, Arlen, who also served as her primary caregiver since both of her parents were absent during her upbringing. Fortunately Kevah has not cared to find out where her parents are or why they left her: she believes that if they don't want her, she doesn't want them, either.
As a teenager things still remained the same. She trained as much as she could and practicing with Arlen became routine. Her brother, who was a terrific fighter, would always beat her hand-to-hand, but an occasional victory would be awarded to Kev during combat with a weapon.
Then the Sky People came and ruined everything. At first Arlen and Kevah treated them as a joke, figuring that Trikru would be able to kill them off as easily as they would a fly. It turned out that the Sky People were a lot stronger than expected, and in a devastating turn of events, Arlen was burned to a crisp alongside three-hundred others. Needless to say that this particular event was what triggered Kev's everlasting hatred towards the Arkers, and her rage only grew when Skaikru became the Thirteenth Clan. So... just don't expect Kev to be buddy-buddy with too many of the Sky People.
