After a nuclear apocalypse humanity found safety in space. For safety, and to pool resources, the 13 space stations circling Earth decided to band together and form the Ark. Humans weren't meant to live in space, however, and technology doesn't last forever. The life support systems on the Ark were failing. In a desperate attempt to see if the ground was safe 100 Juvenile Delinquents marked for death were sent down to see how quickly the radiation would kill them. They survived the landing, and radioed back with astonishing news: that the ground was survivable, and inhabited.
Since then they've been fighting to stay alive. Between the Grounders, and the Mountain Men, the ground just isn't a very friendly place. They've had to compromise their morality in order to survive in ways they've never imagined--even something as horrendous as genocide.
Welcome to the ground.
Our story begins after the fall of Mt.Weather. News of the eradication of the grounder's greatest threat has spread, as well as the legend of the person who brought it down: Wanheda. Bounty hunters, and ambitious grounders, hunt after Clarke Griffin in order to claim the power they believe she gained from destroying the Mountain. Nia, the Queen of Azgeda, has put a sizable bounty on her head and rallies an army against the agreement of the coalition. Commander Lexa must handle the accusation of being weakened by Wanheda, as the clans of her coalition question her power.
The spacers, removed from the talk and politics of the grounders, have expanded their camp into a sizable base. However, in order to continue surviving they must deal with grounders who outnumber them one way or another...
